Assalamualaikum Mrs. S, where do you live? The more effective treating him is while he is awake and recite it out loud. When he started to cry or show any reaction, this is the time we can start to communicate with the jinn. The jinn does not talk all the time but with Allah swt helps some time we can make the jinn talk even at the beginning the jinn refuse to talk. Some time when we recite out loud then the jinn make the person to be so sleepy and want to go to sleep because the jinn does not want to hear it so I always tell the person stay up and listen to what I am reciting. Jinn reactions many ways and some time even try to fight with me so I never do it alone, I always have my husband with me and some time I have one of my student with me too so I have two guys to help me to restraining my patience when retaliating or try to fiht with me. The most recent one was last week, the skinny 13 years-old girl tried to fight with me so her grand parents, my husband, her parents and my student helped me.

So the best way is doing it while he is awake. But I do understand your situation so yes you can do it while he is sleeping too. I learned that if the problem is not severe, many people cured by listening the audio “verses of quran” on ruqyah.net. But my suggestion is to have the raqi to get the jinn out from your son’s body. After today, I may not have access to email because InsyaAllah tonight my husband and I are going for umroh and back in San Francisco the evening of April 9th. Hope this help. Wassalam
